Walking or riding alone
The catchNobody expects you at a set time and nobody knows you arrived.
What we addA small group, and an “I got home” check-in that tells them you are safe.
Tell us which event you're at, which Kreis you live in and when you want to leave. We match you with two to four approved students heading the same way.

Home addresses stored, only your Kreis
Example events for the prototype. Real listings replace these before launch.
Four steps from the dance floor to your front door.
Use an address from ETH, UZH, ZHAW or another Zürich university. The team reviews sign-ups by hand. In this prototype matching itself is still simulated.
Pick where you are tonight, the district you are going home to and when you want to leave.
When two to four people line up, you see their first names. Confirm, agree a meeting point, then travel together.
Check in when you arrive, rate the trip and report anything that felt wrong.
You can still do all of those. Never Go Home Alone adds the one thing they lack: other students from your Kreis who leave the same event at the same time.
The catchNobody expects you at a set time and nobody knows you arrived.
What we addA small group, and an “I got home” check-in that tells them you are safe.
The catchYou carry the whole fare, and the ride is still just you.
What we addPeople heading to your Kreis. If the group wants a ride, you can agree to share it.
The catchIt only works with people you already know, and everyone has to answer in time.
What we addMatching by event, Kreis and leaving time, between students with approved accounts.
The catchIt runs on a fixed timetable, and the last stretch is up to you.
What we addCompany for that stretch. Check zvv.ch for times: we do not replace public transport.
A made-up example. Sofia is a fictional student, not a real user.
If nobody matches yet, Sofia stays on the waiting list and the group can form later. In an emergency call 117, 144 or 112.
What the platform does today, and what it does not do yet.
Before
Share who you are travelling with and when you expect to be home.
At the event
Choose a realistic time. Groups form faster when your time is flexible.
Meeting
The main exit or the nearest tram stop works better than a side street.
On the way
Stick with your group until the last person has reached their stop.
Arriving
It tells your group you are safe and lets you rate the trip.
If something is wrong
Leave the group, report from My trips. In an emergency call 117 or 112.
Straight answers about matching, privacy and safety.
Students at Zürich universities with a university email address. The team reviews sign-ups by hand. In this prototype matching itself is still simulated.
No. We never ask for your street address. We store your first name, your university email address and your Zürich district (Kreis 1 to 12). Only the team can read them.
You pick an event, your Kreis and a leaving time. We group two to four approved students who chose the same event and the same Kreis and want to leave within 30 minutes of each other. Until a group is found, your request stays on the waiting list.
Leave the group, report the person from My trips and, in an emergency, call 117 for the police, 144 for an ambulance or 112 for the European emergency number.
Not yet. Agree on a meeting point at the event, and tap “I got home” to check in when you arrive.

We are Ladamx, a student team in Zürich. A night out should not end with a lonely walk to the tram. You only need someone heading the same way at the same time, and that is what we help you find.
Questions, event organisers who want to be listed, or a request about your data: write to us. This is a student project, so replies can take a few days.

What this is. Never Go Home Alone is a student prototype made for a university course (Ladamx, Zürich). It is not a company, not an official service of any university and not an emergency service. In an emergency call 117 (police), 144 (ambulance) or 112.
Prototype. Your sign-up is saved on our servers and read by the team. Group matching is still simulated in your browser. No real people are matched automatically, and nothing on this site promises that someone will travel with you.
Who may use it. Students of Zürich universities who are 18 or older.
Access levels. After you log in, an approved member has full access and a member who is still waiting for approval can only use the simulated demo. Approval is decided by hand by the team and can be withdrawn at any time. It does not verify your identity.
Your safety. Meeting people you do not know involves risk. You decide for yourself whether to meet or travel with anyone. Meet in a busy, well-lit place, tell a friend, and leave if you feel uncomfortable. We do not check identities beyond the university email domain and we do not track your location.
Conduct. No harassment, threats, discrimination or false information. Accounts that break these rules can be paused or removed.
Liability. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for events, delays, cancellations, the behaviour of other users or inaccurate event information. Nothing here excludes liability for intent or gross negligence, or any liability that cannot be excluded by law.
Events and third parties. Event details come from the organisers' own pages and may change. Names and logos belong to their owners. We are not affiliated with the clubs or organisers.
Changes and applicable law. We may change or stop this prototype at any time. Swiss law applies. The courts of Zürich are competent, unless mandatory consumer law provides otherwise.
